Laxman Temple, Sirpur, Chhattisgarh
Laxman Temple reference goes to Ramayan era, when Sri Ram with his wife Sita and brother Laxman came in Dadak van for 14 years of exile. Sirpur was one of the place on bank of Mahanadi river, where they stayed for a while.
On their memory Brick temple was created and named Laxman Temple. This beautiful architecture is famous for its design and using only bricks.

Sirpur is a historical and religious place on the southern bank of the Mahanadi river. near village Kunari turn in Mahasamund District. Anand Prabhu Kuti Vihar was a residence for the Buddhist monks and a place for worship related to the Buddhist monk named ‘Anand Prabhu’ built in 7th–8th cent. A.D.
Here, in main cell, a big sculpture of Lord Buddha is installed. Sculptures of river goddess and Padmapani Avlokiteswar are kept in main.
